Mr. Bollinger embarked in a co-authoring endeavor with his mentor and good friend, Steve Winston. Mr. Winston was hired in law enforcement in 1981 and has worked in several assignments. Most notably as “Officer Steve” in the Bike Safety Program, in which he is still recognized by former students twenty years later. He has been working as a background investigator for nine years hiring over 1,000 employees, including both police and firefighters. Mr. Winston has been solicited by several universities to join their academic team.

The authors have over four decades of collective experience in law enforcement, and have created the most comprehensive book on the realities of getting hired in public safety in existence. You will be the beneficiary of their experience and candor as they have conducted thousands of interviews and implemented their collaborative knowledge into an easy to read, extremely informative book. If you read “One” book in your life, this should be the “One!”
